International Outrage Over Massacre in Colombia Peace Community
March 31, 2005
Outrage is growing over the recent grisly murders of eight members of the Peace Community of San Jose de Apartado, Colombia.
Co-founder of the community, Luis Eduardo, his 11 year old son and 6 others were brutally massacred on February 21 or 22, in what appears to be a calculated effort to silence and intimidate the brave members of San Jose's Peace Community.
Will there be a full investigation of this atrocity? Witnesses say the Colombian Army committed these gruesome murders - an army that the U.S. supports with a huge military aid package.
You can help bring the murderers to justice -- and protect the members of the Peace Community! How? By sending a letter to the U.S. State Department.
Let's demand that the U.S. condemn the massacre and suspend military aid to Colombia ? and that the U.S. pressure the Colombian government to conduct a swift, full, and impartial investigation and ensure protection of the Peace Communities.
